In this lesson, we will look at how you can turn your arguments into whole sentences and paragraphs in the body of your essay.

In lesson 1, we looked at the overall structure of an IELTS task 2 essay. In this lesson, we will look at turning your arguments into whole sentences and paragraphs. Let's imagine that you are given the following task 2 essay question: 'Some people believe that living in a city is preferable to living in the countryside while others strongly disagree. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.' When you are planning your arguments, you could use a diagram like the one in the picture below:
